We are still looking to find a good name for the game, pulse-game is just a working name since it sounds more like a fitness app or sci-fo game than a fantasy MMO.
We would like everyone to be able to come with their ideas for a name, please make a comment in this thread if you have any ideas.
These are the requriements of the name for the game:
- Length - 3 options:
- Short name, can be totally made up, examples:
Fortnite
Rust
Valorant
Halo
Dota
Sims
Roblox
A short name need to be unique or have a lot of players to be able to make the game searchable in Google in the early days. It can also be harder to remember since it is unique, and probably harder or made up words.
- Long name with several words that is possible to shorten, examples:
World Of Warcraft → WoW
League Of Legends → LoL
Grand Theft Auto → GTA
Counter Strike: Global Offensive → CSGO (very complex words, long)
- Middle with shortened options: (these are good, since they are more basic words, can still be shortened, and original name is not too long)
Lost Ark → AR
Minecraft → MC
OverWatch → OW
Guild Wars → GW
The best thing with a longer name is that it has good search-ability on google in the start, since you can type the whole name. When the game gets popular enough the shortened version will be the default of everyone talking about the game and it will also be front page of google, if we decide a name that has somewhat of a unique shortened version.

Uniqueness - The name should be unique and able to raise in the google search ranks easy in the start. If we go with a longer name it is easier to make it unique while still using basic English words that many people know.

Has to do with the game the words of the name need to have something to do with the game, and also that it’s a great and large open world fantasy game.

Communicability The name should be easily pronounced and “roll of the tongue”, it should not include any hard to pronounce words. Would be good if it can “rhyme” or find some kind of “rhythm” when you pronounce it.

BAD Examples:
Worlds (plural form = not good)
Kick, Check (any 2 letters that make 1 sound can easily be spelled wrong, ck = k, ch = sh? But I know a lot of Russian letters are pronounced in 2 English letters, and also many English words have these sounds, so might be hard to avoid)
